Restorative Art Classes are creative group experiences that invite you to explore your imagination, try new approaches, and enjoy the process of making art in community. Each class is an opportunity to slow down, connect with materials, and discover something new about how you engage with creativity.
These classes are open to all skill levels (ages 12+) and are designed to be accessible whether you’re new to art or well-versed in multiple mediums.
Restorative Art Classes are structured around thoughtful, guided creative exploration. Classes often begin with a simple centering moment and then move into an art activity that encourages curiosity and play. There is no pressure to perform or “get it right”—the emphasis is on process, presence, and creative expression.
A playful group class where you create paintings guided by sensory experience and listening to music. This approach invites you to paint freely, explore color and form, and enjoy the act of making without expectations.
Working in mixed media, you’ll start a piece and then rotate through canvases with others in the class, adding and responding to each evolving work. This collaborative experience is a fun way to play with materials and connect through creative exchange.
Using guided reflection to open your creative intuition, this class helps you tap into your instincts and express what feels meaningful through paint and color.
Explore a unique approach to mark-making that encourages fluid, organic line work and intuitive decision-making. This class focuses on engaging with line, pattern, and flow as creative tools.

A two-hour restorative art class focused on stress reduction, self-awareness, emotional intelligence skill building, and reducing self-limiting beliefs, perfectionism, and releasing fear-based control. The class begins with a centering and soothing meditation or deep breathing exercise, followed by the start of a blind painting. While blindfolded, you will use your senses to create a painting based on the emotions that you feel while listening to a series of musical pieces. After the music ends, your canvas will be traded for a fresh one and your blindfold will be removed. With a fresh canvas, the same music will begin for you to create a painting based on your emotional response to the music. Finally, your initial painting will be revealed to you to admire and compare.

A two-hour exploratory class in mixed media focused on stress reduction, collaboration/team building, communication skills development, increasing problem solving skills and releasing domineering behaviors. The class will begin with minimal instruction to begin and will be provided with time to start gathering items for the canvas. Once everyone in the class is ready with initial materials, the time will begin, and each person will have an allotted amount of time to add materials to the canvas. When the time is up, each person will rotate to the next canvas and begin to add materials to it. Each person will rotate through all of the canvases in the group and end back at their canvas to add finishing touches. *Time for the course and time spent on each canvas is dependent on the class size.
